Ski & Board Program

“Mountains accommodate everyone equally. Gravity doesn’t care if you are sitting down or standing up!”

The Ski & Board Program provides the opportunity for individuals of all abilities to enjoy the sport of skiing and snowboarding. Through this program, participants gain the ability to develop different muscles, improve their balance and coordination, increase their self-awareness and confidence, and improve their self-esteem.

2021 Season – CANCELED.  See you in 2022. Please see our letter from the Executive Director below.

December 28, 2020

Ski volunteers & participants,

Thank you for your patience concerning the 2021 Eagle Mount ski program. Our top priority is your safety and that of our programs. These are challenging times, creating difficult situations. We have made the very tough decision to not have our ski program in 2021. Here are some factors we took into consideration for our decision.

  1. Very small percentage of participants responded to wanting to ski due to COVID-19.
  2. We were unable to hire a new ski program coordinator with the proper training in time for the 2021 program.
  3. The ski training we would have sent a new hire to had been canceled due to COVID-19.
  4. Several of our seasoned/trained volunteers were unable to commit to being on the hill this year.
  5. COVID-19 restrictions would greatly affect our participants on the mountain.
  6. We are very short staffed at this time and working hard to keep our doors open through these tough times.

We appreciate your understanding of our difficult situation and decision. Rest assured, we will be seeking a new ski director this coming year and we look forward to being back on the mountain in 2022! We hope you will be with us all the way!
