Ski Program Volunteer Information

The adaptive ski program in one of Eagle Mount's largest programs.  We rely on many volunteers to make this program happen.  To volunteer you do not have to be an expert skier, but intermediate ski skills are necessary.  If you are not a skier but wish to help with this program, we always welcome assistance in the ski lodge getting the participants ready and making sure everything is running smoothly.

Volunteer training for the ski program usually entails two or three nights in Great Falls and two days at Showdown.  All volunteers will be provided training on the equipment we use, Eagle Mount, and the disabilities that they may work with.

We make great effort to ensure that everyone is  prepared before they ski with a participant.  We never put anyone in a situation in which they are not comfortable.  Experienced volunteers work with and share their knowledge with new volunteers.

As with all of our programs, volunteering in the ski program will afford you the opportunity to meet some exceptional individuals and have a lot of fun! Lift tickets are provided to our ski volunteers. You will provide ski assistance for two to three hours either in the morning or afternoon. Morning ski volunteers can "free" ski after their lesson is over and Afternoon ski volunteers can "free" ski before their lesson begins.
