Donation Provides Quality of Life for Area Disabled

( Great Falls ) – Providing disabled persons with interactive experiences and quality of life are part of a day’s work at Eagle Mount.  Recent donations have made a significant impact on the expansion of Eagle Mount’s summer programs, where senior centers, assisted living facilities and others will be better served.

“Benefis Healthcare is pleased to have provided a donation to our local Eagle Mount,” says Brandy Solyst, Manager of Benefis’ Community Relations/Marketing department.  “We value the services this fine organization provides to our community, and we are happy to have played a part in making a difference in the lives of others.  Our residents of Benefis Skilled Nursing Facility, and other facilities similar to ours, will benefit greatly from Eagle Mount sponsored outings.  The quality of life of our community is paramount.”  The Benefis donation was matched by an anonymous benefactor.

“Benefis and the matching donation have made it possible for us to purchase a pontoon boat which will be used to serve disabled adults and children from the surrounding area,” says Chris McGregor, Assistant Executive Director.  “Eagle Mount has had a rafting program for the past several years, but the pontoon boat we have purchased with donated funds will better enable us to serve those individuals in our community who have physical limitations limiting their participation in the rafting.  The boating program will significantly help increase the quality of life for our participants, who may enjoy fishing and boating excursions under the protection and guidance of our staff and volunteers.”

Eagle Mount has had the boat in operation since mid-August and is slated for a late summer excursion, departing from Broadwater Bay Wednesday, September 10 at 10:00 am .  Media are invited and encouraged to attend.

Eagle Mount is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides therapeutic and recreational activities for children and adults with physical, mental or behavioral challenges, striving to improve the quality of life for them and their families.
